Source of truth
Data & assumptions
Shopify supplies sales. This page defines how each SKU and operating cost flows into P&L.
Shopify is the sole source for revenue, orders, and customers.
Product economics
SKU → COGS mapping
Catalog price is reference only. Daily revenue uses the amount actually paid on each Shopify order.
| Product / variant | SKU | Shopify price | P&L category | Unit COGS | Status |
|---|
What every number means
Shopify current order total less tax, after discounts, edits, and refunds. Shipping revenue remains included.
Net line-item quantity × editable unit COGS above. Refunded quantities reduce COGS.
Orders × shipping per order, plus pick-and-pack per order.
Payment percentage + per-order fee, plus the optional subscription-order fee.
Net revenue less COGS, fulfillment, processing, Stay AI, and paid media.
Contribution profit less allocated monthly fixed operating costs.
Revenue ÷ paid media; and paid media ÷ new customers.
Cumulative revenue or contribution from customers grouped by first-order month.
Ad spend CSV
Accepts Meta Daily Spend, Google Billed Cost, or a combined Date + channel file. Re-uploading a weekly or monthly export replaces overlapping dates for that channel without erasing the others.
Stay AI CSV optional
Add customer status data for subscription cohorts and/or dated platform fees.
Add non-Shopify costs for a day
